The 2017/18 Admission is now in progress and many schools are yet release their Admission list.
However there are some factors that will determine the fate of all candidates that apply for Admission in any institution and this factors will be discussed briefly below. Though these factors are determined by the university in particular we will be listing out a general consideration Schools take while preparing the admission list. 1. Your state: Your state play a very important role I'm determining who will be admitted or not and one of the reason nuc and jamb introduced catchment zone is to ensure that any indigene of a state or someone that belong to a particular region is considered ahead of others. Chopping your state university will definitely give you an edge and selecting a university or polytechnic within your region will also make a difference.

2. Your jamb score: I don't need to emphasize much on this and it's no longer new that candidates with higher score in jamb will be considered ahead of others. The rule still remain the same.The higher your score the higher your chances of gaining Admission.

3. Your post Utme score: This is only a criterial for candidates who wrote Post Utme for their School of choice, because as we all know not all schools required Post Utme Exams for admission of their candidates. 


Note: Depending on your school of choice your post Utme score covers a whole lot of your schools total Aggregate, therefore the higher your post Utme score the higher your chances of gaining admission into merit list which I guest every student earnestly desire Abi?

4. Your O' level result: anyone with incomplete O' level result will not and cannot be considered for admission this also applies to candidates that filled wrong subject combination but if your are to be considered for wrong subject combination your course may be changed (You may note like that). It's important to fill a relevant O' level result to ensure a hitch free Admission.


5. The course of your choice.
Medicine is a courses
Economics is a course
Law is a course
Yoruba is a course
Marketing is a course
Zoology is a course
However the demand and the requirements for all courses varies.
Some courses are more demanding while some are not. Take for example over 12000 candidates that applied for medicine in Uniben scored above 200 which is the school required cut-off and guess what only 100 student will be admitted into that department, hope you can see what I am talking about
