Auchi Polytechnic students protest death of their colleague, Uloko Lawrenta Apaume, who was shot by Vigilante group on Friday, November 3, 2017.
Apaume, a Banking and Finance graduate was reportedly celebrating her graduation with her friends in her hostel when she was hit by a stray bullet of one of the Vigilante members invited by her landlord to watch over them.
According to The News, the Vigilante men out of sheer excitement shot randomly in the air and a stray bullet his the Auchi Polytechnic graduate who died instantly.
Meanwhile, the Edo State Police Command have commenced investigations into the incident while Auchi Polytechnic students take to the streets to protest the death of the fresh graduate.
Apaume graduated on Thursday, November 2 and was shot dead the following day while celebrating her graduation from Auchi Polytechnic.
In a similar event, a purported fresh graduate of Ekiti State University was recently hacked to death by unknown assailants who dumped his body by the road side.
